Many students at Sakku are very interested in athletics and have showed their talents and skill in many parts of Canada, and even in Greenland. Two of the most popular sports are wrestling and soccer.  At the 2001 Canada Summer Games,  Coach Bruce McKitrick and his Sakku wrestlers  won several medals.  In March  2002, Coach Marilyn Bruce and our Girls' soccer team traveled to Greenland to represent Nunavut in the Arctic Winter Games.  In 2005, the same team won the under 15 Territorial Championship.

Weightlifting, and badminton are also popular activities at school. At the local arena, we play curling and hockey.
