If you are coming to Baker Lake as a teacher or in some other profession, please consider the following:

Housing is provided  for all Government employees. Rent
for a one-bedroom apartment is  $1150 per month.  A two-bedroom apartment fully furnished is about $1400 per month.

Food is very expensive, therefore you are advised to do a sealift order (details provided by your school board).

For clothing, you should bring the Baffin jacket, priced approximately $700.00.  Your boots should be Artic weather insulated.
